Your Character, Your Playstyle : Create your own unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Select your class to define the unique traits and skills they will have in combat. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial Army, a sly outsider, or a staunch zealot? The choice is yours.
Combat has evolved : Building on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s exceptional melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide also introduces the series’ intense gunfight system. Balance melee and ranged combat as you fight through a swarm of enemies. Feel the impact of every swing with your chainsword or every fiery blast from your laser pistol.
Save Tertium from Destruction : Venture into the violent and dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From bustling industrial plants to a rotting maintenance area plagued by constant acid rain, the hive of Tertium is a harsh and unforgiving place, even on its best days. Your mission is to serve the fervent Inquisition by undertaking missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.
Overcome Unpredictable Challenges : Adapt to the unpredictable whims of Chaos with Circumstances, mutators that add an unforeseen challenge to your mission. Your team will need to learn to be flexible, adopt new tactics, and modify their loadouts to face these unforgiving trials.
