Limited Editions: rare pieces for a unique collection
Welcome to our selection of Limited Editions, designed for collectors who want more than just a game. Here, every edition stands out for its small print run, exclusive bonuses, and refined finishes. Artbooks, steelbooks, soundtracks, alternative covers... every detail counts and transforms your purchase into a true collector's item.
Our catalog brings together the best limited edition titles on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series, and retro systems. Whether you love narrative RPGs, stylized indie games, or cult franchises, you will find exclusive versions available in limited quantities here, sometimes for a short period only.
What is a video game limited edition?
A limited edition is a version of a game produced in a pre-determined number of copies, often numbered, and never reprinted. It differs from the standard edition in its physical content — steelbook, artbook, soundtrack, cards, reversible cover — and its rarity: once the print run is exhausted, it can only be found on the second-hand market, usually at a much higher price. At Just For Games, publisher and distributor, you can find them brand new, at the original retail price, as long as supplies last.
Steelbook, artbook, soundtrack: what our editions contain
The steelbook, a screen-printed metal case, has become the emblem of the limited edition. It is often accompanied by an artbook showing the behind-the-scenes of the game, the soundtrack on CD or vinyl, lithographs, pins, or numbered cards. The exact content of each edition is detailed on its product page — compare before you choose, as some editions are true boxed sets.
Limited, collector, or deluxe edition: what is the difference?
The three overlap but do not refer to the same thing. The limited edition focuses on restricted print runs. The collector's edition adds significant physical items — figurines, replicas, boxed sets — and can be found in our collection dedicated to collector's editions. The deluxe edition primarily enriches digital content (DLC, season pass, in-game bonuses). To go further into rarity, also discover our Signature Edition, which are signed and numbered.
Frequently asked questions about limited editions
What is a limited edition?
A version of a game produced in a pre-determined quantity and never reprinted, often numbered, with physical bonuses (steelbook, artbook, soundtrack, cards). Once the print run is exhausted, it only exists on the second-hand market.
What is a collector's edition?
A premium edition that adds significant physical items to the game: figurine, replica, rigid box, large-format artbook. More comprehensive and more expensive than a classic limited edition. Find them in our collector's editions collection.
What is a steelbook?
A screen-printed metal game case, replacing the standard plastic case. Highly sought after by collectors, it is often reserved for limited editions and sometimes sold separately in numbered series.
What does deluxe edition mean?
An edition enriched primarily with digital content: downloadable content, season pass, in-game bonuses, or early access. Unlike the limited edition, it is generally not limited in quantity and does not contain physical items.
Are limited editions reprinted?
No, by definition. When the print run is sold out, the edition is no longer manufactured. This is what creates its value — and why a pre-order is often the only way to obtain one at the original retail price.
