Save the Earth from the Bydo Empire!
Five games in one on your Game Boy Color! R-Type and R-Type II in their classic and color-enhanced versions, as well as a new R-Type DX mode that combines both games into one continuous playthrough.
A space probe has detected a massive invasion force from the Bydo Empire heading straight for Earth...
A full-scale attack would spell the end of the planet; our only hope lies with a lone pilot who, at the controls of the latest R-Type fighter, must pierce their defenses and precisely annihilate the empire's forces before they can strike.

Which consoles can play this cartridge?
This cartridge is compatible with all original Game Boy and Game Boy Color consoles, as well as adapters that allow these cartridges to function. It is also compatible with "retro" consoles such as the Analogue Pocket or the Retron Sq.
It is also compatible with the Game Boy Player on the GameCube. However, it is NOT fully compatible with the Super Game Boy on the SNES.
It should be noted that when used on a Game Boy® console, the game only allows the player to choose between the original versions of R-Type and R-Type II: the "Color Enhanced" versions and the DX mode are obviously not accessible.
Is this game region-free?
Yes, all Game Boy games have always been region-free, and this version is no different.
