Several decades after his first adventure, he's embarking on a new quest through a world full of amazing challenges, formidable enemies, and hidden treasures. You can choose to play in assist mode for a more user-friendly experience, or in "Gimmick!" mode for a challenge faithful to the original game!
As a yokai, Yumetaro has the power to summon and launch a powerful star that bounces and retains the momentum of his movements. You can use it to activate switches or defend yourself against enemies. You can even ride the star to reach the most difficult-to-access places as you explore the world and its secrets.

A legendary soundtrack: Composer David Wise needs no introduction. For the Gimmick! 2 soundtrack, he has both composed entirely new melodies and revisited known classics. Pelle Cahndlerby directed the art direction of the soundtrack, the instrumental part of which was recorded in Sweden with the help of Joel Bille.
A dive into the past: The original game Gimmick! was released on Famicom™ in 1992. It was localized and distributed in the West, but only in Scandinavian countries. This particularity, as well as the physics engine and game mechanics that were very ahead of their time, contributed to the popularity and legendary character of this game. With Gimmick! 2, there are no more shadows: everyone will have the opportunity to discover this astral game.
