Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord was the first group RPG to be published. It directly inspired series such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. Digital Eclipse's revival preserves the appeal of the classic, with many improvements for modern role-playing fans.
Create your own group of adventurers and set off into the labyrinth at the behest of the mad lord Trebor, in search of the amulet stolen by the evil sorcerer Werdna. Face fearsome groups of enemies, avoid hidden traps and advance through the dungeon in preparation for the ultimate battle: confronting Werdna in person.
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord is built directly on the code of the original 1981 game. Although it looks brand new, it's the authentic game under the hood. You can even see the original Apple II interface as you play.
