Description
A new farming simulation game with a mysterious atmosphere
Physical versions of Village in the Shade for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 are coming to Europe this autumn in Deluxe Editions including the digital soundtrack for download and a mini artbook
Village in the Shade is a unique cozy life simulation that blends soothing daily life with Japanese horror, folklore, and yōkai mythology.
Set in a nostalgic and typical Japanese countryside, the game offers a life simulation experience different from traditional Western farming management games.
Build your life at your own pace — cultivate the land, raise livestock, fish in peaceful waters, and explore the village while discovering the subtle mysteries woven into daily life.
Featuring beautifully hand-drawn visuals, the game presents charming characters whose subtly inexpressive faces create a unique atmosphere — at once cute, melancholic, and deeply nostalgic.
Rather than relying on conventional horror, the game instills a persistent sense of unease that gently permeates village life.
Throughout the story, players will discover strange "rules" that govern the village, inviting narrative enthusiasts to piece together its hidden truths and deeper secrets.
