During her crusade to defeat Heskel's army, Shelly will wreak havoc in her wake with a wide variety of weapons, as well as alternate firing modes and different types of ammunition. Her triple-barreled revolver, the Loverboy, is an enemy's worst nightmare and provides a sense of satisfaction to the player, especially with its single-action lock and American Wild West shooting style. Who needs a shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Reduce enemies to a pulp with powerful and violent bombs.

Ion Fury doesn’t give a damn about checkpoints or linear paths. But just because it’s a retro first-person shooter doesn’t mean we’ve ignored the advances that have been made over the last two decades. Headshots? Oh yeah. More physics and interactivity? How so.
