1917 - War rages on Earth. Billions of people are killed by unprecedented technologies, in the name of fanaticism. Yet all the atrocities committed until then were only the preambles of an even greater and unforeseeable catastrophe. When, on April 15, an army of aliens descended from a war-torn sky and opened fire indiscriminately on soldiers and civilians, the foundations of the world were shaken and humanity was about to experience its darkest hour.

Discover 1917 The Alien invasion DX Remastered on PS5!
Faced with such a terrifying and overwhelming enemy, the exhausted and struggling nations of Earth had no choice but to set aside their old grudges and fight side by side if they were to avoid total extinction, or worse. Yet courage and unity were no match for the sheer might of a species so advanced that the cosmos itself proved no obstacle to them.
Meanwhile, Dr. Brunhild Stahlmüller, an accomplished scientist, has been working tirelessly with her assistant, Harmuth Griesgram, to develop an experimental aircraft codenamed Red Beezlebub. Based not only on existing aircraft technology, but also on fragments of alien wreckage recovered from recent battlefields, this new invention is capable of extended atmospheric flights as well as deep interstellar travel. Finding no pilots left fit – physically or mentally – to take the pilot's seat, the courageous doctor dons the helmet herself and takes the Red Beezlebub on its maiden flight, to the battlefields of Verdun. Her target: the chess master, the new self-proclaimed king of humanity. A usurper and an abomination. Fueled by gasoline and hatred, her Valkyrie's flight will end in either victory or glorious death. She did not know that he himself was only a piece on the real player's chessboard, and that she watched Brunhild's every move with greedy and lustful eyes...
